Verónica's case
Verónica is a young mother who, after pregnancy and breastfeeding, noticed that her breasts had lost much of their previous volume. She presented with post-breastfeeding mammary hypomastia: breasts with very little volume after nursing.
This affected not only her figure, but also how she felt about her body day to day. Her goal: to recover the volume lost through breastfeeding and, since she was placing herself in the hands of a plastic surgeon, to take the opportunity to gain "a little more" and harmonise her silhouette.
Assessment: post-breastfeeding hypomastia
Before surgery, Verónica had deflated breasts, particularly after nursing, with most of the breast tissue situated in the lower portion of the breast. This results in a lack of volume in the upper pole — a key area for achieving a full, youthful décolletage.
Diagnosis: post-breastfeeding hypomastia — limited breast volume after nursing, with the breast positioned mainly at the bottom and lacking projection in the upper pole.
Surgical plan
To achieve the desired result, breast augmentation with implants was indicated. The objective was twofold:
- Restore the volume lost through pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Add a little extra size and, above all, fill the upper pole of the breast.
Given that Verónica had most of her breast tissue at the bottom and needed projection in the upper area, an implant was selected that could provide exactly that upper fill, balancing the shape of the breast in a natural and harmonious way.
Type of implants
Verónica's surgery used 350 cc round nanotextured implants of the latest generation, chosen to provide overall breast volume and effectively fill the upper pole, enhancing the décolletage.
Round implants are especially useful when, as in her case, most of the breast tissue is located in the lower portion and volume is needed at the top to balance the shape of the breast.
Pre-operative studies
In any breast augmentation surgery with implants, pre-operative breast studies are essential. NATURAL FIT Body Contouring® requires a mammogram before surgery to ensure that the breasts are healthy before any implant is placed.
This prior assessment helps guarantee the patient's safety and allows surgery to be planned with maximum peace of mind. If any pre-existing breast pathology were found, the aesthetic procedure would be contraindicated until the medical situation had been resolved.
Result
After surgery, Verónica's breasts show restored volume, with a full upper pole and an overall more aesthetic and proportionate shape. The result is beautifully formed breasts with a well-defined décolletage and a chest that complements her figure as a young mother.
The choice of 350 cc round nanotextured implants made it possible to achieve a natural yet visible result, perfectly aligned with Verónica's wish to "recover" her breasts while also enhancing them.
A result that combines the recovery of volume lost through breastfeeding with an aesthetic enhancement that harmonises the entire silhouette.
